In response to the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission’s letter dated 07.12.2011 and following our corporate announcement of the same date, EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A.: (a) informs that the phase II evaluation to which the Hellenic Competition Commission has proceeded, regarding its merger with ALPHA BANK S.A., may extend up to the expiration of the period referred to in article 8 par. 6 L.3959/2011 and (b) reaffirms its commitment to cooperate jointly with ALPHA BANK S.A. and the Hellenic Competition Commission in order to promptly obtain the required approval.
